A Norwegian company building businesses with East Africa.
AKEMO Group AS was founded in Oslo in 2025. We run businesses in coffee trade and media, and work alongside an operating farm company in Uganda.
Who we are
Our story
AKEMO Group began with a simple observation: there is real business to be done between East Africa and the Nordics, and too few companies doing it properly.
Our founder, Albert Emmanuel, is based in Oslo. In 2025 he set up AKEMO Ventures Limited to farm commercially in Zirobwe, Luwero District, and AKEMO Group AS in Norway to build businesses that reach Nordic markets.
Since then, the group has started supplying Ugandan coffee to roasters in Norway under the Kahawa Nzuri brand, and built Live Learn Inspire, a weekly podcast about entrepreneurship, culture and growth.
The aim is a group of businesses that are commercially sound on their own, and stronger together.

Albert Emmanuel
Founder, Managing Director & Chair
Albert Emmanuel founded AKEMO Group AS in Oslo in 2025 to build commercial businesses between Norway and East Africa.
He leads the group’s coffee trade under the Kahawa Nzuri brand, hosts the Live Learn Inspire podcast, and founded AKEMO Ventures Limited, a farming company in Zirobwe, Uganda.
Governance
How the group is run
AKEMO Group AS is a Norwegian private limited company. It is managed by its founder, who is also its controlling shareholder. As registered in the Brønnøysund Register Centre, Albert Emmanuel is both managing director (daglig leder) and chair of the board. We have no other board members or advisers today, and we will name new appointments here when they are made.
Each business keeps its own management and accounts. As the group grows we intend to add independent board members, formal financial reporting and clear policies on related-party transactions.
