Value creation

How we build a business

  1. Prove it on a small scale

Each business starts with a real operation: a harvested field, a delivered coffee order, a published episode. We learn the economics before we commit more capital.

  2. Put structure around it

Clear legal ownership, separate accounts, documented contracts and honest reporting. This is what makes a business financeable.

  3. Bring in the right partners

Buyers, suppliers, lenders and investors who add more than money: market access, expertise, or operational capacity.

  4. Connect the businesses

Farm production can feed trade. Trade can feed brands. Media can tell the story and open doors. We build these links where they make commercial sense.

Responsible growth

Principles we hold ourselves to

  • Accuracy over ambition. We publish only facts we can document, and we date the figures we share.
  • Fair value chains. We want farmers and suppliers in Uganda to benefit from the value created further along the chain.
  • Local employment. We hire and train locally wherever our businesses operate.
  • Sound governance. We keep each entity's accounts separate and document related-party transactions.
  • Country by country. Africa is not one market. We work where we understand the context, starting with Uganda.
